Ficus Minima

£7.75

Ficus Pumila Minima similar size to those shown in the picture. This plant is a miniature variety of Ficus Pumila that grows slower and stays more compact than it’s larger Ficus cousins (which have a tendancy of taking over). It is a fantastic terrarium or vivarium plant as it loves humidity. Maintains its size well and its varied foliage makes it a very attractive ground cover. Can also be grown as a houseplant.

Care Guide
Light Bright, indirect light promotes compact, healthy growth. Tolerates moderate light but may become sparse; avoid harsh direct sun that can stress the plant.
Water Keep soil lightly moist but not waterlogged; allow the top 2 cm to dry between waterings. Water less frequently in winter. Prefers consistent moisture without sitting in water.
Humidity Prefers moderate humidity (40–60%); misting or pebble trays help prevent leaf drop. Good air circulation supports healthy, disease-free growth.
Temperature Ideal 16–24°C (60–75°F); keep above ~13°C (55°F) and away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Use a well-draining potting mix (peat or coco with perlite). Repot infrequently; prefers being slightly pot-bound. Fertilise lightly during the growing season. Light pruning encourages a fuller, more branched form.
