Excellent foliage plant with dark blue-green leaves that darken with age. Presents with large and beautiful, compact leaves. Unusual for an orchid in that it grows terrestrially, making it a lot less fussy with substrate than most orchids.
Recommended for larger terrariums or as a houseplant.
Ludisia are a versatile species of orchid that is a lot less fussy than regular orchids. Can be added to quality terrarium substrate without adjustment and can equally be potted up as a houseplant in potting soil that is well draining.
Humidity will also help this plant stay fresh and happy so it is advised to mist the plant regularly/group it with other plants/place in a humid room/pebble tray with water, as with other tropical plants.
It is recommended to keep this plant above 10c or it will begin to show signs of stress.
