Native to the tropical Americas, this springtail variety loves warm tropical soil and will thrive inside a vivarium or terrarium. These little guys will digest mold and other dead/decaying matter that can harm terrarium or vivarium health and help maintain a constant cycle of fertilised new growth. This is a parthenogenetic variety of springtail (all are female and can all reproduce asexually) meaning that colonies are easy to maintain and will easily sustain many generations if cultured.

Care
Sent in a sphagnum moss/coco/compost mulch for their protection. From here it is recommended to leave them at room temperature for a couple of days, before moving into their permanant homes. Very easy to care for, and should be able to survive in any warm & moist environment, with yeast flakes ideally (rice is also acceptable) when their food gets low. If moving into a permanent enclosure, feeding should not be required as they should have plenty of decaying natural matter to clear.
